How to Hit Solid Iron Shots Time After Time
One of the most common problems in golf is the inability to hit solid iron shots. Many golfers struggle with this, and yet it if you can learn how to do it correctly, you will drastically improve your golf scores. In this article I want to share with you 3 tips that helped me learn the art of hitting solid iron shots everytime.
1.One of the main things that you need to realize is that in order to hit solid iron shots, it is important that you have a good stance. This will increase your chances of success, by giving you a stable base to build a repeatable swing. You need to make sure that your hips, arms, and shoulders are all aligned at the target, which will help you out dramatically. Also be sure to incorporate the proper amount of knee flex, and always bend from the waist.
2. The next thing that you need to do is incorporate a light grip pressure, and make sure that you take the club back low and slow. This will enable you to hit better golf shots consistently, because your arms will be relaxed. Also, the tempo of your takeaway and backswing is important because it sets the tone for everything elseeverything else in motion.
3. You should start the with downswing with your hips, not your arms in order to hit solid iron shots. If you start your downswing by turning your hips toward the target then the club will come into the proper position on the downswing. This will ensure that you come into the ball at the ideal angle, which will help you hit solid iron shots time after time.
These are three tips I used to start hitting better iron shots, however if you are really interested in learning how to hit solid iron shots, I have a resource that you need to check out. It would be a shame if you did not see it.
